Thanks for the replies; I appreciate the input. After sitting on it over the weekend, I agree with those who said that I was not justified in taking the higher fare.
I guess it would have been easier to accept the lower fare if it was anyone but America West. "Tired of your kids? Give them to us and we'll lose them."
