I would complain, and have done so, if the noise goes late into the night and disturbs my sleep. I should add that I have had as much noise (and have complained) coming through the walls as through an adjoining door. Adjoining doors can be made quite sound proof - double doors and good weather stripping (sound stripping?). A good example that comes to mind is the Valhalla Inn in Thunder Bay, Ont.
