Yes, there are spas here, and they are of superior quality. On the down side, they are typically quite expensive, difficult to get to, and require a large investment of time.

One of the experiences/memories I cherish most when I'm in the Old World, i.e., France, Germany, Morocco, are the times spent unwinding at one of the spas/saunas which seem to be located on every other block. Typically, the facilities are a little rundown, but wholly effective. For $10 or so, you can steam yourself and get a vigorous massage. There is nothing quite like it.
