I booked my flight as planned last night and within 5 minutes I had an e-ticket in my inbox so it is indeed near instantaneous.

P.S. That no YQ for SE benefit this year really is great. 96$ in fees for a ticket halfway around the world. That is much better than it was before where a "free" ticket cost 700$...
