It happened to AA who have gone bankrupt, and are only now catching up with European rivals who offered a better product. We have see it before with Ryanair to an extent. It is only recently they have started improving customer services an reducing hidden charges. Their profits have soared.
In the cruise line industry it happened with NCL who are now investing in the product.
I really wonder whether you have a clue as to what happened at AA or at FR. Or, for that matter, at NCL - at which the picture has been complicated enormously by ownership issues and cash flow problems.
