I am not convinced BA's new CEO is the best person for the job. Aviation is a difficult business to be completely stable in but I think BA's long-term strategy should be to not focus on continually driving down costs, but increase its market share on routes served by multiple airlines.
With respect, why do you think you are in a better position than the BA board to tell whether he is the best candidate? Which candidates would you have said stood out?
And how do you know what brief the new CEO has been given in terms of route strategy etc?
