Apologies for bumping this slightly old thread, but I have the exact opposite connection to make.

I'll be on BA4460 from LCY arriving at 08:10 into T1, then departing at 11:20 on BA6871/AA723 to PHL from T2.

I feel comfortable with a 3:10 connection, even allowing for CBP pre-clearance formalities, but I do have a couple of questions:

1. Am I right to assume that I should be able to get my luggage tagged all the way to PHL ? The 2 bookings are separate, but both are 125- tickets and BA flight numbers.

2. What's the best and quickest route between arrival and departure gates:
(a) if my luggage is checked through
(b) if I have to collect and re-check my suitcase in DUB ?
