I have AA Platinum status and am shooting for Exec next year. But, after that (so starting 2018) I won't care for AA status give the recent devaluation.

For me, I put around 50 to 60K miles through business and personal flying and the reason for shooting for Exec Platinum was/is the 8 SWUs for international flights and 2x RDMs would offset some of the cost of mileage running.

My question is: Are there any benefits of MVP Gold 75K status on non Alaska international flights operated by EK, Cathay, etc.? I know the 4 SWUs works only on AS metal and their RDM benefits are the most generous.
