Does BA ever plan to put the A380 to Cape Town and also do they plan to put on day flights?

Otherwise any better alternative routes?
Yep, certainly a tough choice for economy from London.
BA direct in the 747 often touches £1000 over the UK Summer peak. Emirates can come in nearer £700 with decent timings (if kids can take in a layover at midnight local in dubai, being late body clock time, .. making the 1st flight almost a day flight!).
For me, I did the Middle East routing once (in economy) then went back to direct for £200 more ... less variables to go wrong!
Yes its noisy in the 747 (and likely busy), but its fine if you prepare for it.
But at 4 people with, say, a £300 premium it does add up quick!

KLM have a 787 dayflight into CPT arriving 9pm or so. Not sure if its daily. Probably a serious option from UK regions with a KLM connector.
