"QA hires direct entry captains from all over the world. How can you possibly keep track and verify their credentials. A Vietnamese guy that came as a captain had never been one before comes to mind. I've flown with him personally and found out after he left. They also take very low time pilots as second officers, often putting them in heavy aircraft. Essentially, they are learning how to fly with you in the back. I've sat in the jump seat as a safety pilot to these inexperienced pilots. It's only a matter of time before something worse happens. Unfortunately it took an accident for the Americans to see this and change the rules to 1500 hours to act as a pilot. At least they got it right."
