Here's one drawback of relying on technology: Our firm held its retreat in Arizona this weekend. One of my associates set her BlackBerry to wake her Sunday morning for a spa appointment. The BlackBerry automatically set itself back one hour to account for the change from daylight saving time to standard time -- but Phoenix doesn't observe DST, and she was awakened an hour too late.
