I enjoyed planning our RTW trip. Despite it involving a mixture of redemptions and cash tickets on ten flights using six different airlines it was very easy to plan and book although we did have lots of flexibility to play which allowed me to organise the trip around the availability.
To be honest it was all the planning we had to put in place for our four week absence from here that turned out to be the nightmare part and had us wondering whether it would all be worth it. The trip ended up all going well but we would never ever do it again.
Even a simple two week holiday to the UK needs a lot of organising leading up to departure which is why we choose not to go away very often.
Go on a tier point run? No chance....I would far rather stay at home.
