I'm flying BA 287 next month in J, LHR-SFO. I definitely prefer window seats, especially those that have aisle access without stepping over a neighbor. I've skimmed through parts of this useful thread and have picked up some comments about those seats, to the effect that 59 A/K is better than 53 A/K, since 53 has galley noise. The only downside seems to be that you might be near a bassinet and loud baby in 59.

Is this the right impression of 53 versus 59?

And for that matter, I'd welcome any other advice on whether other seats in the cabin are preferable and why.
