Applied last Thursday. Just got reply asking me to verify the number of HH points in my account. I HAD included my HH Gold (unearned, from Citibank cc) account number in my original email to them.

"Thank you for your request to “HHonor My Status.” For verification purposes, please respond with your current Hilton HHonors point balance. Once verified, we will be glad to process your request."

Any thoughts on why they sent me that request? My name is unusual so I doubt there was a name conflict and again, they already had my honors account number. Anyone else receive this request?
