Hi all first time poster after lurking, this is my first year really traveling for work (and traveling next year as well) and seeing that I'm close to Gold is it worth going for Gold? Been searching using ITA Matrix but figured I should ask here as someone else might be able to figure this out faster than I have been.

Currently 8136 MQM miles away from Gold, already met the card spend. Debating using the buy MQMs but it's $1300 for 10k miles from delta.

Home airport is JFK or LGA, can fly any dates except the 19th of December.
