First, get an ENTERTAINMENT book. You can buy on on the web at
www.entertainment.com or get on in Honolulu at the ( Kohala ? ) Mall. Then most of the attractions, food will be " buy one, get one free" . A Day a Pearl Harbor seeing the Arizona Memorial, the U.S.S. Bowfin submarine, and the U.S.S. Missouri will pay the $30 cost of the book in savings.
As far as attractions, Pearl is a must do.
GO and see the free Kodak Hula Show ( the name has recently been changed from Kodak , but everyone will know the name ). In Honolulu, eat at Sam Choy's Breakfast, Lunch and Crab. For the view, eat at the second floor Dennys at the south end of Wiakiki toward Diamond Head. For very cheap eats, the Ala Moana Mall in Honolulu has on of the best Food Courts I've seen.
Make sure you stop by the Bishop Museum, the Nuuanu Pali Lookout, and Lanikai Beach.
And most of all, GET OUT OF WAIKIKI ! If you dont rent a car, get on " THE BUS " ( $1 ) and do the circle islanmd route.
