the red eyes on XMAS eve (night dec-24 to 25) offer the emptiest flights all over the wester world.

In the USA, for inner NorthAmerican flights, I experienced Thanksgiving Thursday afternoon/evening as very light (in sharp contrast to the days before/afterwards).
