From the list of participating airlines flying to India, I would say OS (Austrian) has by far the best business class. However you would be restricted to flying from New York to Dehli.

Business class on AF, LH, and LX is similar as far as seating arrangements are concerned (rather meager 48" pitch). LX may have the better service IMHO, but I don't mind AF or LH service in C either.

If time is not a constraint, and if there is a discounted F fare on Malaysian, as often happens with 2nd tier Asian carriers, service in MH's F class is exceedingly good. MH flies EWR-DXB-KUL, and has better coverage of India than European airlines.
