I would take 6 hours sitting on a plane, being able to zone out in a recliner chair, over driving 4 hours in a car seat and having to pay attention the whole time. 10 times out of 10!! And that's not including the additional 6 hours of flight you would have to do AFTER the 4 hour drive.

But perhaps I don't put enough emphasis on the pat-myself-on-the-back feeling from flying in a lie-flat bed and smirking at the pleebs in Y
I didn't realize Tampa-Miami was 4 hours. I thought it would closer to 3. I'd drive 3, but I don't drive distances more than that, so no, I'd not likely do that. I would certainly purchase a positioning flight to Miami though and then fly in an cradle, angle, or flat seat over spending 6 hours in a miserable domestic F seat with a miserable product. I won't fly segments of more than 3-3.5 hours in domestic F anymore. It's just too uncomfortable and too bad for me. I'll gladly position and take a product with something better than domestic F, even if it means more stops.
