For the avoidance of doubt, can anyone confirm (from experience, not speculation) if similar action is taken on downgrading from Silver to Bronze - i.e. any 'standard' seat reservations will be removed? And if so, do pax get any warning (e.g. via an email) when this is done, so they at least get a prompt to consider paid seating (if they so choose)?

I'm already well clear of renewal for Gold, so this won't affect me. This is completely unfair. You should be able to keep a selected seat for one return flight after the changeover. I understand multiples of flights, and there has to be a cut off somewhere. But one flight shortly after changeover I think is a bit petty to just kick people out.
