I'm amazed they let her on the flight back. Perhaps AA made the decision that even if they had to throw a token voucher to pax who followed up, it was still cheaper than a possible delay because they had to find a replacement. She must be pretty senior.
I got the feeling that she was indeed a senior FA. Not the senior on the flight but maybe in charge of the coach section. I think somewhere in her very loud rant she mentioned she was a union officer or leader....maybe like a shop foreman? We were on a two class A330-200, repainted USAir medal, so for all practical purposes in first/business. Towards the end of the flight she actually leaned down and asked me if I was having a good flight. Sometimes I'm not always the good Dr. K so she got what my wife calls "the voice". She backed away quickly and went on but it allowed me to get her name. She needs help....it was that serious.
