I've scanned a few dozen BP printed by them at the gates, they are small, like a receipt with a bar code. I believe the phones have a printer attachment for receipt style printing. I've yet to see a bag tag from one, but at the gate, few people have bags when they walk up to us already tagged, so I'm not sure if that's a lobby only thing. I'd love it on the jetbridge though, to be able to have an automated tag vs either walk up to the gate to issue one, or hand write a manual tag, insure I know the final destination, and then add the data to the system.
I'm sure there's a flaw somewhere, but I've wondered why they don't issue FFs reusable bag tags. Keep it on the bag and they can scan you in as you go. The system would need to flush the last use out of the system first, but this could probably be programmed to happen upon a rescan.
