I too have wondered aloud previously about the mechanics of checking in at the EL. In many hotels, you can't even get up there without a key card. And, in a hotel that I'd not been to before, I'm not even sure how I'd find it, as the floor on which the lounge is located is not always specifically labeled (in the case of multiple exec floors, etc).
