Miles Upgrade vs Award

Am i reading this wrong?
LONDON-BANGKOK
- ECO Air award one way 49k miles
- BUSINESS Upgrade one way about 50k
Also, does this mean a round trip eco to business upgrade now clock in at about 100k+ miles? This used to be lower or am I completely off now
