Actually some airlines and crews server SPML with everyone else's depending on the circumstance (if there are just 1 or 2 SPMLs for instance, they just keep the tray on top of the cart so they see it when they get to the seat). I used to always order SPML and sometimes they'd serve first, sometimes with everyone else.
