My question is about the CX706 red-eye. It appears to be a 2 cabin A330. We are flying in J, and hoping for seat that will let us catch a quick nap.

Any idea which business seat we will get?

Would it be smarter to take CX616 (6:40 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.)? That's a 3 cabin configuration. I'd initially avoided it because we'd have almost no lounge time.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks.
Congrats on your first CX flight. There is no way to guarantee a certain cabin config on any BKK flights. You might get regional and you might get long haul it will be luck of the draw, regardless of what the plane type says currently. Swaps are common and CX does not endeavor to guarantee hard product consistency on that (and many other short haul) route. If you are the type who hates redeyes without a bed, I recommend avoiding the redeye.

ORD is guaranteed to be 77H (4 class 77W). But BKK, it could be anything on the day you depart. Enjoy your flight. My advice is don't worry at all about the hard product to/from BKK.
