Newly minted Diamond here, looking forward to trying out the status on some stays next month.

I was wondering if anybody has noticed a discernible difference in the quality of upgrades depending on whether you use the Front Desk or Executive Lounge for check-in?

My gut feeling is that the latter is better, but my experience with lounge staff with Hyatt has been hit or miss.
