Availability can change instantly.

If you see L U T inventory, you should be able to use the cert for that flight, but remember that you need TWO seats in the same class. If you see X V E available, try doing an advanced search by fare class T or higher and you will almost always see multiple T (and therefore U and L also) seats, so again the cert should work.
