I've never heard of a credit card issuer pre-emptively assigning a credit card its cash advance PIN. If you're aware of any such issuers, please let me know so I can avoid them...

I tried using my Premier card at Walmart and Sams club and both times it asked me for the pin after inserting card.
I think the employee is wrong. (assuming the new poster isn't lying about his experiences)
