I worked with a woman several years ago who exhibited behavior similar to what's described here. There was no history of mental illness, nor any significant life circumstances that would seem to account for the sudden snap.

She had an un-diagnosed brain tumor. It was very serious.

Hopefully this woman is now getting whatever care she needs.
