Nobody was attacked in the FRA airport. The article linked by the OP mis-wrote "airport" when they meant "aircraft." Just a journalist who can't accurately lift from the air marshal's arrest affidavit.
After having tried to remove her from the flight, yes, the crew and even the air marshals went out of their way to protect her from criminal problems, until she arrived back at CLT.
