Here's the rundown
- I have two free night certificates to use, plus 150k+ points
- Platinum elite
- Planning to do the usual sightseeing - for practical purposes this will be our first trip to London, so all the classics - Buckingham Palace, Harrod's, Tower of London, etc etc
- Would really like to have breakfast included
- Not nearly as important, but a pool would be nice

Basically, my first instinct is to book one of the ICs since I'm using certs, but no chance of getting free breakfast there from what i can tell, and I assume it's in fact quite expensive.

I guess what I'd like to know is if there's a nice hotel, in a good location, where either it's HIEX so breakfast is always included, or my platinum status will get us breakfast. Or should I just forget about breakfast because the IC is so nice?

Outside of the IHG world my other option is the Andaz Liverpool, diamond status there so would get breakfast included, but from what I understand the location isn't great, and I obviously couldn't use my IHG certs (which I'm not sure I'll have another good use for before they expire).

Would really appreciate any input! Really don't know London well so struggling to figure this out!
Other option is to stay at one of the nicer hotels...sleep in and spend the 'breakfast money' on a nice lunch somewhere instead. I am planning to do a similar thing (planning on using my free reward nights at the IC Amstel Amsterdam, sleep in and have brunch in town as some places in town do lovely brunch (buffets) for less money than the IC breakfast).
