Speaking as a newbie - there's also the "art" of the search. I was sure I'd read something about converting AA miles to Starwood points and searched (unsuccessfully) for 15 or 20 minutes until I gave up and asked the question. I was very kindly directed to a list of threads on my subject. None of which I was able to locate during my search. I'm probably making my searches too specific or using too many search terms or some other rookie error.

Perhaps a veteran FTer might write a simple FAQ on best ways to search?

And, yes, I "searched" several forums for any topics on "searching" before posting this.
