Technically, no. Loyalty programs are for the benefit of the member and not anyone/everyone they might know. Now there is a very good chance, if the ticket was booked under their name, they would never ask for ID and then I'd suspect they would get credit.

Personally, I suggest travel under your own account and then when/if you ever get a significant number of points, buy your friend a ticket somewhere. I'm sure they would enjoy the gift.
