Just wanted to follow up on this to confirm what username said previously and what is contrary to Eva's marketing materials. The 77A on my JFK-TPE has power outlets in economy. I sat in the DEF middle seats and there were two outlets for those three seats. Each seat also had a USB port in the seat back screen that could be used for charging. There were also no boxes under the seats in front to take up leg room.
I still can't figure out why EVA's description of their 77A's doesn't mention power in Y. Maybe there are a few planes out there that don't have it and they don't want to over-promise. Has anyone been on a 77A in Y that didn't have power outlets?
