I'm planning a trip Addis Ababa in the summer/fall of 2016 and I'm trying to develop a decent strategy for award travel and was hoping you guys could help. My fiance' is Ethiopian and I'd like to plan a trip there for a couple of weeks using UR points (currently have about 70K).

We'll be departing out of PHX and I'm not an award routing expert any means, but from what I found so far, it looks like the most economical option is to book a United RT award to ticket to Europe and then book another RT ticket from Europe to ADD. If there are better options.... I'm all ears

I also have about 150k in HH points as well, but the hilton options seem to be a bit limited and pretty costly from a points perspective. I also have 63k in Marriot Rewards points, but haven't really researched that option yet.

I plan to do an AoR in jan/feb and need to develop a strategy for the trip. Appreciate any help, thanks.
