Ok, now the list is up, and it's ridiculous. Yes, it is all advance purchase, but my main point is it's only a small fraction of Marriott properties that are participating, and in all cases I checked, it's only the more expensive ones that have reduced somewhat (ie, no already-inexpensive ones reduced further).

So if you're looking for an inexpensive hotel through this deal, you aren't likely to get it based on what I saw. If you were already going to book an expensive hotel, maybe it'll reduce your rate a bit (if you don't mind advance purchase).

Example case in point: The Courtyard Anaheim Resort sometimes has last-minute (a day or two in advance) $89 AAA rates. But the advance purchase rates in this sale are about double that! Also, there are half a dozen hotels in the general Anaheim area that routinely have AAA (or other) refundable rates much lower than the 4 Anaheim hotels and 1 Buena Park hotel that are the only ones showing in this area as participating in this sale.
