I want to get a friend a FF ticket to visit La Paz (LAP), Baja Sur, Mexico. Unfortunately, I think only three airlines fly there (AeroCalifornia, Aeromexico and Aeromexico's partner Aerolitoral), and only Aeromexico has a FF program AFAIK (but connections from the East Coast USA stink). The other option is to fly into Los Cabos/San Jose del Cabo (SJD) on a bunch of North American and Mexican carriers (much better connections but it is still a good hike away from LAP).

Two questions:
1) Has anyone taken a bus or taxi between SJD and LAP? I understand it takes anywhere between 2 and 4 hours. If so, how much does it cost?

2) What's the easiest way to get my hands on some more Aeromexico miles? I would need about 15K miles. I guess the alternative is to try to get my hands on some DL miles.
