At the risk of sounding prejudiced after nearly a decade on this continent: safety here is about filling forms and putting stickers on machinery. And then going on to do whatever one had planned to do anyway. I tried this once and the FAs would either not understand what I was going on about or would feel personally attacked or insulted. I won't take that risk. Not because of a hypothetical danger.
