VIA RAIL--terrible to book on line
Off Topic for sure:
I have just wasted an hour trying to book on line with Via Rail. This must be the worst system which is entirely fitting for this useless operation.
I registered as a long standing Via Preference member on line, then 24 hrs later, I tried to book and I was able to book but not as a member.
To top it off my online booking must be redeemed at the **** station an hour in advance. Fat chance I am going to waste my time doing this. They should accept my e-ticket on board or develop a better system.
Air Canada looks like a gem in comparison. No wonder why VIA is losing so much money. It is impossible to deal with. Its website is so bureaucratic, just like the entire operation. This needs serious re-working.
