Called amex and said I want to cut down on cards with annual fees and asked if I could get the fee waived or get starpoints to offset it. The rep I talked with said they can't negotiate the fee and I would have to call Starwood about getting points to keep the card.

I may try amex again in a day or two and hope for an accommodating rep. If not, I'll cancel the card. I've had it since 2006; and until this past year, it was my most-used business card.
