It never occured to me to think parking flashy cars up front had anything to do with tipping. I'm a crummy tipper (well maybe average) and yet when I have the MBZ or have ahd former BMWs parked and they often end up out front. I've always thought it was more a matter of parking a flashy car such as a Ferrari or a Boxster out front of a restaurant or hotel gives a sort of free advertising to the place, telling all who pass by that this is a hot place to go.</font>
If it's the nicest car in the lot, IMHO even without a tip it'll get parked up front. However, if there are many high-end cars, the tip will decide what gets parked nearby and what gets put on the 'back 40'.
Vegas is a prime example of this. On a vacation there a while back, we rented a Boxster. I took good care of the valets ($15-$20 each time I returned from driving the car) and EVERY time I came downstairs my car was parked right up front without fail. It certainly wasn't the nicest car there and I saw nicer cars driven off to the valet lot.
P.S. NeverAtHome : My brother in law has a G35 and it is an awesome car. It's better than cars that cost $10k more! However, between it and the Lamborghini Murcielago, I think the latter has a BIT more panache.
