I flew SCL - MEX three weeks ago on the 787. We were served dinner and breakfast. As I had flown a few overnight long flights during the same trip, I found interesting that they served both meals with the lights off, in order not to disturb the passengers that preferred to sleep and not eat. I had to turn my personal light on during my meals. I don't know if it is the airline policy, or just that the crew was aware that, in an 8 hours flight, a few passengers will value sleep time more than a meal.
