I emailed Friday around 9:30am with Marriott gold info. I was granted Diamond status yesterday (status change on the website followed by an email).

Today, I made two bookings: (1) Hyatt French Quarter New Orleans (points only booking (points from UR) as no P&C available). (2) Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen (transfer points from UR, use P&C plus the DSU). Without the diamond status, I would have most likely booked a Marriott property both in New Orleans and in Cancun using Marriott points. Now Hyatt is already getting my business. I would say pretty good move by them and I am thankful to be one of the lucky ones granted the diamond status.
