Just an additional thought.

I had 2 tickets in F and 1 in J

I asked the airport manager I'd be willing to pay $$$$ to upgrade J to F so we can have our family together. So I ended up taking the J seat my self. They could do absolutely nothing.

So whatever you try at the airport is just an waste of your time.
