Hi there all.
I will be traveling from Melbourne to Bangkok via Auckland on Thai and would love to do a trip the day before I head back to Auckland (16th November) to Osaka Kansai to have a look at the Airport.
The thing is that the other Airlines outside the Star Alliance have cheaper fares.
How would I get on with changing from the other Airline back to Thai for the remainder of the trip to Auckland via Sydney.
Would it be possible to stay in transit and have the other airline check my bags and me all the way through to Auckland or would I have to uplift my luggage and recheck in.

Id stay at the Airport Hotel, Anyone stayed there??
