+1

I had an issue with the ET segments on my SFO-JRO trip last year. Quite a bit of back & forth between UA & ET, with ET even sending me screenshots of what they sent UA. Eventually someone at UA realized that it was dumb to continue the merry-go-round; I flew the miles, I got the credit.

The problems likely were entirely at the ET end, as our tickets were apparently non-existent when we arrived at JRO for the return to the US, and they acted like it was no big deal and recreated the itin. Somehow ET had cancelled a segment we flew on the itin, after it was flown. It was bizarre. We had luggage tags and everything to prove we were on the flight, but again, it wasn't a big deal to them at JRO, they just redid things. But, in a way that erased a segment from UA's view.

It takes a bit of time, but with an appropriate attitude (be nice and assume people are actually trying to help you, because generally they are), I've found things work out.
