This looks quite close to the aft of CW in a 4 class 777 looking towards the First cabin. I had to think about your question for a bit. I'm reasonably observant but these big round things simply don't register for me once sat down. However thanks to BA's seating options there are endless ways to keep them out of your line of sight! Bit of a waste of resources unless they are cunningly disguising something. They are most noticeable, if I can put it that strongly, when the cabin is in darkness and the crew are gradually increasing the light in time for final service and landing.
Yes CWS, those are what I meant. Apologies that I was not so clear - I couldn't think of a better way to describe them or what I was wanting to know.
I had also found that picture during my Googling but I was looking for a 77W (or perhaps better referred to as a 773 for BA as BBB does below?) and I think picture is a 772? Very happy to stand corrected on that as I'm basing it on counting the number of rows and I can't exactly tell if I'm correct. In any event I also can't tell precisely above which rows those lights are positioned - although that might just be because my eyes are a bit wonky!

I do have a choice of window seat but I'll be travelling with my young daughter and I've found so far that the middle seats work best for us when travelling together.

I know they are not everyones idea of impeccable interior design, but they don't add nor subtract anything from the overall lighting of the cabin any more than the bulkhead mounted light fittings by 10A/B or J/K.
If that question is for me BBB then I don't find them distasteful at all. I'm no interior designer but they look perfectly acceptable to my eye. My only mild issue with them is I find they make the middle seats a bit brighter than is optimal when my daughter is going to sleep, which is (I hope!) before the lights are dimmed after the first meal service on an overnight TATL.

The cabin has exactly the same layout of lights as the 772 4 class aircraft.
The lights are located over the middle of a cluster of 4 middle seats. So one located above the back-rest of row 11, which illuminates 10 and 11… The next above the back-rest of row 13, illuminating 12 and 13, and the last one over the back-rest of 15, illuminating 14 and 15.
On the 773, the one above the back-rest of row 15 is the last light and there is not another one further down. So, the only row which does not have one close to it is row 16.
Great BBB - that's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for your help.

So they are all facing the back of the cabin.
I'll also look out for this then to see if I may be in your capable hands when I'm next on board. :-)
