I'm not sure whether to put you in the woefully misguided camp or somewhere else, but it seems you really haven't done any basic research or articulated what you would do with a car in central London.
If you have a rental vehicle, it will cost you GBP11.50 (approx. $17) daily for the Congestion Charge. Parking a car at the Grosvenor House will cost you GBP42.00 (approx $62) daily. If you're driving around London, expect to spend a lot of time in traffic and/or looking for a parking spot that you will pay handsomely for.
Why don't you just purchase an Oyster Card and be done with it?
