You want the Brand name but you go to Target the day before you really need it (you know you always get a backache when you fly) so that you have it for the flight
However Target will only sell you the Target Brand Tylenol the day before your flight; if you want the brand name stuff you can only get it day of flight and 3 hours before your flight.
Now if you pay target an extra fee, they will sell you that brand name Tylenol whenever you want it.
I think the original scenario was closer to the mark. The OP wants a generic seat, not the brand name seat. OP will accept either name brand or generic, but is not willing to pay a premium for name brand.
However, if I showed up at Target and wanted to buy generic and they were out of it until tomorrow, I would be annoyed. I might not say anything then, but the next time I needed acetaminophen I would remember and probably go to Wal-Mart. And, while I was there I would pick up about $50 worth of other stuff. That's why it's so important to have stuff in stock in the retail trade.
